Final submission of e-poster

Instructions for preparation of your e-poster:
- File format: 1-page PDF file.
- File name: Surname and Name of the presenting author. E.g., Cordaro Luca (not ‘Luca Cordaro’).
- Orientation: landscape layout 16:9 (e.g., prepare in PowerPoint, save as PDF)
- Pixel: 1920×1080.
- Recommended font size: 11 points or larger.
- Hyperlinks, animated images, animations and videos are not permitted.
- QR codes may be included.
Deadline for uploading your e-poster: Wednesday, April 15, 2023, Midnight CET.
Guidelines for preparation of e-poster abstracts
Authors are requested to select a category under which they wish their abstract to be reviewed:
- Pre-clinical research
- Clinical research (surgical and/or prosthetic)
- Case report
We kindly ask you to read the guidelines carefully.
- Abstracts may only be submitted by email. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.
- Abstracts must be submitted in English. Please use US English spelling.
- The presenting author of an accepted abstract must register and attend the congress. Presenting author of accepted abstracts will receive free registration for the event.
- Abstracts should contain only original material not published or presented elsewhere prior to
20 May 2023 - Provide a short specific title indicating the nature of the investigation. The background and goals of the study should appear clearly to the reader.
- Please structure your abstract according to the sections provided in the online form
- The title may not exceed 250 characters including spaces. The abstract text may not be longer than 2,500 characters (ca. 300 words) including spaces, excluding disclosures.
- All abbreviations must be defined the first time they appear in your text (but do not define in the title).
- Maximum 1 table and 2 graphics may be included.
- Disclosure of potential conflict of interest (e.g. grant support, consultancy, membership on advisory councils, speaker’s bureau) by presenting author and source of funding are mandatory. (All disclosures should be listed if relevant to the abstract content and all others within the last year.)
- Please make sure to state your correct e-mail address. After having submitted your abstract, you will receive a confirmation by e-mail with the abstract reference number. If you do not receive a confirmation by e-mail please contact: abstracts.orfoundation@ega.it
Corrections to abstracts can only be made up to the deadline of 28 February 2023, 23.59 h CET.
Notification
Each abstract will be reviewed by the poster committee. Notification of acceptance or rejection of submitted abstracts will be sent to the corresponding authors via e-mail until 15 March 2023. Full instructions concerning e-poster requirements, preparation and presentation will be included. The presenting author will get the code to register free of charge. E-poster submission deadline: 15 April 2023.
Oral Poster Pitch Competition
Based on all submitted e-posters the poster committee will select 6 finalists for oral presentation during the Science Slam on 19 May 2023. The decision is final and not subject to discussion. Each of the selected authors get 2 minutes to pitch their work on the main podium. The presentation must be in English (both speech and slides).
At the end, the audience will be able to interactively vote the three best pitches. The winner gets a monetary prize of EUR 2’000.-, the 2nd place EUR 1’000.-, and the 3rd place EUR 500.-.
The 6 finalists will be informed until 22 April 2023.
Publication
Selected e-posters will be published in the International Poster Journal of Dentistry and Oral Medicine as well as on the event’s and the Oral Reconstruction Foundation’s website.
